Hello Gilmore Families, 

Welcome! We hope that everyone had a good summer, and we are looking forward to welcoming students back on Tuesday, September 3^rd. 

Grade 1-7 Students will come to school from 9:15 am – 10:15 am on Tuesday and then full-day normal school hours (8:45 – 2:45) from Wednesday onward.

For the first week of school, Grade 1-7 students will be returning to their classes from last year, with the same pick up and drop off spots. If your child(ren) was in Ms. Porter’s class last year, Mrs. Hill / an ELL Resource Teacher will meet you for pick up and drop off at “Home Tree” each day until Friday. If your child(ren) was in M. D’Urso’s class last year, an ELL / Resource Teacher will meet you for pick up and drop off at “Home Tree” each day until Friday. 

If you are a new student to Gilmore in Grade 1-7 please come to the front door of the school on Tuesday morning. We will meet new students there, show them around the school and then show them to their class for the week. 

Our hope for our Gr. 1-7 Students is that we will transition to our classes for this year on Friday. Further information will come regarding that. 

Kindergarten Students, please follow the Gradual entry schedule times and dates that you were emailed in July (an email reminder was sent this week as well), with other school information. If you are in English Kindergarten, you will be in Room 5 Ms. Freberg – formerly named Ms. Porter’s class. There will be a sign posted on the exterior classroom door #6. If you are in French Kindergarten, you will be in Room 3 M. D’Urso’s class for Gradual Entry. There will be a sign posted on the exterior classroom door #4. On Tuesday morning English and French Kindergarten students, please go to labelled door #4 and #6 and the teacher will greet you from there. Thank you.
