Distric Literacy Consultant Collaboration - strengthening classroom routines

An action that we have taken to support our school’s learning focus is:

All Classroom Teachers connected with District Literacy Consultant to strengthen Literacy Instructional Practices, K to 7 and in both English and French.

 

This action supports our school’s learning focus in the following ways:
  • Developed Literacy Routines to improve literacy outcomes for at risk learners.
  • Teacher/Student reading conferences
  • Literacy Circles
  • Morning Messages
  • Routines to use across multiple subject areas
  • Guided Reading Strategies
  • Interventions that support needs identified through SPARK and RFRA assessments
  • Initial Planning for Fall 2026 Literacy Start-up
