Make One Change
On our November Pro-D Day, staff gathered to share their class data. Based on the data collected, staff worked together to reflect on their current practices, and shared ideas on how they might weave in the information gathered into teaching and planning.
Here are some action plans:
"Allowing students to have the opportunity to connect their interests in their learning. Connecting their interests/passions to thing shuteye did express they enjoy. Eg. Connecting gaming to Science or arts and crafts to Math."
"Naming our learning, what science lives outside? How can science help us understand our inquiry into animals? Making the connection between big ideas (learning intentions) and our learning in class."
"Notice and name learning areas intentionally - refer to goals and I cans."
"I'm going to have one focus a day for the students to reflect about their learning and also model or give them the language to help them to communicate their reflection."
"We will discuss our results together & determine the "Why" we may not be interested in a subject and then "What" can we do as a class to change our mindset in those areas. Creating lists of specific activities to grow in areas."
