As we continue our journey towards gaining a better understanding of what Caring for Self, Others and Place looks like in real life, we have created 4 bulletin boards in a location where all students and staff pass on a weekly basis. These boards will help to check our understanding as well as make our learning visible by posting pictures of Gilmore students showing actions of Care! As you can see in the attached images, one board highlights our School Story Question, the other three boards highlight "I Can" statements that align with Caring for Self, Others and Place. The "I Can" statements (seen in the attached images) will be used for direct teaching, as we have chosen these statements as goals for our staff and students. As we move into next year, we will be posting pictures on the "Care Boards" of current Gilmore students when we see good examples of care. This will help encourage all members of our Gilmore community to continue to gain a deeper understanding or our school wide language.
